DIY Windshield Repair Tips
The first thing we have to do before performing windshield repair is checking the damage. The most possible damage that we can fix by ourselves is shallow crack. If the damage is bigger than that, then just leave it to the pro repair service. Second, we can find the window repair kit supply on the hardware store. The price is affordable, so don’t worry about it. Third, clean the surface and make sure it is dry. After that, seal the damage area with adhesive patch.
Fourth, follow the direction on the kit to use the kit because different kit sometimes requires different repair procedure. Make sure to make a vacuum seal around the damage area, so the adhesive from syringe can be pulled into the crack. Fifth, remove the adhesive excess around the damage with cloth or paper towel and alcohol. Let it sits for several hours and raise it from the surface slowly. For small damage, the windshield repair can be that simple. Make sure to do it carefully.
